EMIDICT was created in 1982, by Resolution No. 85 of the Ministry of Foreign Trade with the objective of executing foreign trade operations related to the import, export and wholesale distribution of products and supplies for research, production and development that includes the necessary infrastructure for the process of technological innovation, as well as species of flora and fauna and services for science, technology and environmental protection.
On July 15, 2004, in the agreement No. 5198 of the Executive Committee of the Council of Ministers (CECM), the application of business improvement was approved in the Company.
Subsequently, the process of commercialization of the exportable items was certified under the certification of the Cuban Standard ISO 9001-2008, accredited by the National Standardization Office (ONN).
In February 2015, the commercialization process of the commercialization process of exportable items of flora and fauna was recertified, in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008, and the scope was extended to the inhibitor of microbial contamination for VITROFURAL culture media.
